AirplaneManager Migration

Still on AirplaneManager?
There's a way out.

Tropiq imports your entire AirplaneManager database — aircraft, crew, passengers, trips, and financial history — and gets you live in a weekend.

AM was the right tool in 2009.
It's 2026.

Your operation outgrew it. These aren't nice-to-haves — they're how modern Part 135 ops work.

No updates

AM's core dispatch hasn't changed meaningfully in years. Same UI. Same API. Same ASP.NET stack. Meanwhile, your FAA inspector is asking about your FRAT process.

No mobile

Your captain checks weather on ForeFlight, reads a printed tripsheet, and enters the flight log at the FBO. None of it talks to dispatch. Tropic EFB changes that.

No compliance

W&B in a spreadsheet. SIFL tax by hand. Duty time on paper. Flight risk assessment? AM doesn't have one. Tropiq does all of this natively.

Everything migrates. Automatically.

We've mapped every AirplaneManager field to its Tropiq equivalent. No data left behind.

Aircraft

Tail numbers, specs, burn rates, cost schedules, performance profiles, documents, home base, totals

Crew

Passengers

Names, contact info, passport/DOB/nationality (PII encrypted at rest), weights, rewards

Trips

Legs, crew assignments, passenger manifests, inline status mapping, comments, change history

Migration FAQ

How long does the migration take?

The automated import runs in a few hours. We schedule a day for you to review the data in Tropiq, and you can go live the next day. Most operators are fully transitioned in a weekend.

Is my data safe during migration?

Yes. We connect to AM read-only — nothing is modified or deleted in your AirplaneManager account. Sensitive fields (passport numbers, driver's licenses) are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM in Tropiq.

Do I need to export anything from AirplaneManager?

No. Our migrator connects directly to your AM account and extracts everything automatically. No CSV exports, no manual data entry, no copy-paste. We've mapped every AM field to its Tropiq equivalent.

Can I keep using AirplaneManager during the transition?

Absolutely. We recommend running both systems in parallel for a few days. Your AM account is untouched — you can go back at any time.

What about AM's status field?

AirplaneManager crams trip lifecycle and mission category into a single status integer. Tropiq splits these into Trip Status (draft, confirmed, dispatched, completed, invoiced) and Trip Category (charter, executive, training, ferry). Our migrator maps every AM status code automatically.

What does migration cost?

Migration is included with your Tropiq subscription. No additional fees.
